Very well indeed! They do a great job at taking away the harshness, bite and bitterness from wines and from oak aged whiskies.
Q. Okay, exactly how do your products make wines and whiskies smoother?
Our devices are patented pourers that use aeration and a strong magnetic field. When 'tannic' beverages such as young red wine, oaked white wine or oaked whiskey are simultaneously aerated and passed through a magnetic field, there's a chemical change in the compounds that caused bitterness, bite and harshness. The result is an irreversible change that gives a much smoother drink that has lost its bite and harshness.
Q. Does the BevWizard change the entire bottle?
No, the Wine Instant Decanter or Whiskey Instant Smoother only affect what is poured through them. It allows two people having different taste preferences to enjoy the same bottle of wine. It also allows adventurous tasters to custom blend a wine to their palate.
Q. Is your device a filter?
No, there's no filter, just aeration and a strong magnetic field. That said, it does taste as if the device has filtered out the harshness, bitterness and bite. No filters to change.
Q. How long will the BevWizard Instant Decanter or Instant Whiskey Smoother last?
Nothing lasts forever. If kept out of the dishwasher, which we strongly recommend, the magnets will last up to 30 years! The bodies are strong and should last for many years.
Q. How should I clean BevWizard pourers?
Just wash in tap water. Both wine and whiskey kill off bacteria and germs, so there's no need for the dishwasher.
Q. What are your products made of?
Our products are manufactured using food grade ABS materials. The magnets are fully encased and are made of neodymium.
Q. Is there a guarantee or warranty?
Yes, we have a 30 day return policy and money back guarantee (exclusive of postage). We offer a one year warranty on the units should there be defects. This warranty does not cover units placed in dishwashers?

Yes they are! Just pop your BevWizard pourer into a plastic baggie or wrap it in a paper towel and take it to a restaurant or a friend's home.

Q. Do you have a patent for your products?
Yes, the BevWizard aerating, magnetic pourers are covered by US design patent B513, 180S and US utility patents 7,300,580 and 7,622,039. International patents are pending.
What wine varieties are the best for the BevWizard Instant Decanter?
Young wines that have bitterness from either oak or grape tannins are best for the Instant Decanter. These include both red and white wines. For young red wines, full bodied varieties like cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, malbec, zinfandel, petite sirah, nebbiolo, sangiovese, and many others do very well with the Instant Decanter. These include both inexpensively oaked wines and more expensive, age worthy reds. For white wines, oaked wines, especially chardonnay do well with the Instant Decanter. Some old world wines that have barnyard flavors from the spoilage yeast Brettanomyces tend to taste cleaner through the Instant Decanter. Lastly, there are some merlots, cabernets and sauvignon blancs that have a 'weedy' or vegetal character that is tamed by the BevWizard Instant Decanter. What countries produce wines that can benefit from the Instant Decanter?
We have successfully used the Instant Decanter on wines from the USA (California, Oregon, & Washington), France, Italy, South Africa, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Chile, Argentina and New Zealand. The categories of wines from these countries to use the BevWizard on are young, full bodied red wines or oaked white wines.
I frequently get headaches from drinking red wine. Will the BevWizard help?
We have had comments from several customers that using the BevWizard Instant Decanter reduces the incidents of headaches from drinking red wine. Of course, we cannot make any medical claims but see if it helps for you.
Can I customize the BevWizard products?
Yes, many customers have customized the product to include their company name or logo. It makes a great corporate gift and puts your company name in front of the consumer every time they have a bottle of wine.
Do they make good gifts?
The BevWizard products make great gifts since they provide year-round enjoyment and the person will always remember you when they use the product.
How should I do a taste test to determine if the products work?
We strongly encourage you to do a taste test and try it with your friends and family. First, put the Instant Decanter or Whiskey Instant Smoother on the bottle and pour a sample. Then, take the device off the bottle and pour another sample without the Instant Decanter or Whiskey Instant Smoother. You will notice a distinct difference.
Remember, always pour first using the device and then without. The harsh tannins will stay on your palate if you try it first without the BevWizard Instant Decanter or Whiskey Instant Smoother. This may make it harder to tell the difference.
How does the Instant Decanter compare with the competition?

How does the Whiskey Instant Smoother compare with the competition?
The BevWizard Whiskey Instant Smoother has no competition. There is no device on the market that makes any change to whiskey.
